You can process bulk bill claims as well as paid patient claims. For General Practitioners with ancillary health providers in the practice, they can process EPC claims using the same device.
Rebates for bulk bill claims are usually paid into your bank account the next working day. There's no need to batch the claims and send them off!
For unpaid accounts you can create a claim using the MediClear terminal, reducing the time it takes to receive your 'pay doctor via claimant' cheque.
If your patient pay their account in full, they will no longer need to visit a Medicare office to receive their rebate. Instead they can make the claim and receive a rebate into their nominated bank account (but not credit card account) at the same time as they settle their account.
