Clinical Care

IBA Health consultants will design a system specifically for your situation. Some of the features available include:

Accident and Emergency

No description available for this feature.

Dietary Management

Designed to assist the hospital kitchen in providing appropriate meals to inpatients. This module maintains a range of user definable menus and diet types.

Discharge communications

Allows for automated discharge summaries. Templates can be defined by the organization, which then allow the discharge summary to be automatically populated with patient information. The summary is integrated into a .rtf document that can be edited to be patient specific. These summaries can be printed out as hard copy or can be faxed, emailed or distributed using messaging.

Nursing management

Facilitates assessment of patients, planning and execution of the various nursing tasks in terms of elements of care.

Operating Theatre

Maintains theatre reservation details, performs on-line scheduling of theatres for any present or future dates, accommodates emergency operation, generates pre-operation checklists including instrument lists and personnel assignment sheets.

Order management

Order, approve, carry out, report and review orders for services such as treatments, surgery, investigations.

Orders may be placed online with links to special instructions and patient problems or diagnoses. User defined forms can be configured to capture additional information.

Can include logic for appropriate ordering of tests and duplicate checking.

Results management

Allows results to be viewed in a single view across departments, across time and across locations. Results may be captured directly onto the system by authorised health care providers or received from external systems such as laboratories / radiology.

Supports result statuses such as “provisional”, “final” and maintains links to the relevant orders. Different views of results are available.

Out of range results can be shown in different colours and arrows can show high / low results at a glance against abnormal and critically abnormal results with reference ranges for different patient populations.

Provides a drill down function to view all details for an order and its matching results.

Worklists

Worklists are generated as a by product of placing orders within the system. The tasks to be done by a person or by a designated role are displayed on the Worklist and the module accommodates convenient and immediate actioning of a single task or group of tasks as required.
